Afterwards, a delectable Arabic and Asian food will also be served, buffet style, on board with different refreshments for invigoration as you continue with the cruise.

The adventure begins in Dubai for a chat-and-back to the Sultanate of Oman, United Arab Emirates neighboring country, crossing to reach the other Emirates Dibba, frontier town, passing by the majestic Hajar mountains of the Cordillera.

If you can peel your eyes away from the road, your guide will surely point you to a few unique ‘illusions’ on the rocks, such as this donkey head which was massive…can you see it?

The TOUR Begins to Shine :)

Musandam Dibba trip commences in early morning. You get into the vehicle and settle down comfortably while listening to our tour guides brief on the trip. The tour starts and you enjoy the drive admiring the sceneries along the way. You cross the Northern Emirates of Sharjah, Umm Al Qwian and Ras Al Khaimah. You get to watch the sand dunes, coastline and overpowering mountain ranges on your way, the mountains are made of lime stone and its beauty is enchanting as you watch in awe the different shape and form it has taken through the years.

At the port- On arrival at the small port of Dibba starts another exciting part of the tour on board the dhow, typical wooden vessel, a mini cruise that will sail the waters of the Gulf of Oman is an extension of the Indian Ocean.

The boat ride lasts 4 hours with a stop at a beach paradise entitled to various entertainment activities such as Snorkeling and fishing wire. Lunch is served after the activities, then just relax and enjoy the scenery divine.

Taking a dhow cruise is a must when visiting Khasab in the Omani exclave of Musandam. In total relaxation you enjoy the seafaring ways of centuries past as you sit back on cushions and carpets to enjoy a peaceful trip through the "fjords of Musandam". the real treat is yet to come, though; wild dophins race with the dhows, showing off their gorgeous flukes and playful attitude. After that it's a stop at Telegraph Island for snorkeling with tropical fish before having a relaxing lunch, more swimming and a head back to port.

The trip takes a full day with a couple of stops at two little islands (Telegraph and Seebi) and a delicious fish and vegetables Omani lunch was served on the boat. This was definitely the highlight of our week long trip to the Middle East.

Just like high up in the mountains, your guide will surely point a few special formations on the wind swept rocks, such as this cool looking turtle jutting out as if ready to get into the water…see her?

You’ll eventually reach the famous Telegraph Island where the British laid the first telegraph cable in 1864 (it ran from India to Iraq and the island was manned for some 5 years).

You will be led to the wooden dhow to take the entertaining ride on the waters very much making you fall in love with the scenic Musandam and its breathtaking mountain ranges. The cruise starts and you notice the Bedouin interior of the dhow, with carpets and pillows neatly arranged for your comfort.

I’ve honestly never felt so relaxed on a boat than lounging on these carpets and plump cushions, sipping tea and snapping photos of the amazing scenery.

This is a great spot to enjoy the rich and colourful underwater world Musandam is known for, the fjord teeming with varied marine life. A few dhows will surely be anchored already around the island to let their passengers jump and enjoy the crystal clear water.

We dove right in and marveled at the clean and super refreshing water.

We also got to enjoy a speed boat tour into a limestone cave which was great. Love lt scenere. We did speed-boating along the caves though, which was fun. Our guide and driver was very friendly and helpful guy.

We used Musandam Tourism for a dhow day excursion to the Khor Ash Sham inlet (the most famous and accessible Arab fjord in Musandam) and it was a perfect day out.

The crew was friendly and welcoming even with their limited English and the cook shared stories from his life in Musandam and life in the tiny villages scattered around the Musandam peninsula. Musandam Dibba trip is conducted on secure and safe manner possible. The dhow is managed by an expert captain and professional crew. Navigation compass, fire extinguishers, medical box and life jackets are stored to ensure safety.

Heading out of the harbour, you’ll meet plenty of birds and local fishing boats, waiting for their daily catch and seeming to really enjoy the day at large.

Visiting somnolent Khasab can be done in half a day as there’s little to see in its dusty streets apart from taking a stroll along the pretty harbour…

You recline on the dhow and take in the fresh air coming from the sea, you enjoy the rhythmic cruise and get ready to try some water based activities, snorkeling equipments would be handed over to you as well, you move on to swim and snorkel in the azure waters. You change your outfits and explore the waters in your own pace. You spend the time engaging yourself totally to the fun activities and spread the joy to your companions. Once you finish your water sports you return to the dhow for a delicious buffet lunch and relish the food observing the natural charm of the waves from the sea.

The cruise continues and you relax for a while, you sip the tea, coffee and the refreshments available onboard to revive your spirit.

I conclude our trip on a graceful note, very much hoping to have the overall experience again and again.
